• Yelps of pain and fear sliced through the forest. A big adult male lounged at a young she-pup who was only 7 months old. The other wolves surrounded the big male and the young she-pup. Only one wolf was out of the circle, it was the young she-pup’s mother. She watched as her daughter was about to be exiled or killed like her siblings. Sadly none of the she-pup's siblings were lucky enough to be exiled. The big male started to slowly stalked towards the she-pup with his fangs bared. Quickly the she-pup's mother leapt infront of her daughter and looked at the big male with pleading eyes. "Inalu, please don't do this! She has a name, she could become part of the pack!" said the young she-pup's mother. Inalu snarled and lounged at the she-pup's mother, pinned her down and snarled in her ear. "She was not named by me! She can never be part of the pack Rissa." Inalu snarled. "She has outsider blood. And she could bring death to the pack." and with that Inalu got off Rissa and headed towards the she-pup. Rage filled the she-pup's chest after seeing her mother being pinned to the ground. The she-pup leapt at Inalu with her tiny fangs bared and a little growl growing from her throat. Sadly since she was still young and small her leap only reached Inalu's chest. She didn't care, just so long as she could sink her fangs into his flesh for payback for him killing her brothers and sister. Inalu snarled and leaned his head down enough to where he could bite down on the she-pup's shoulders and pull her off. The she-pup tried to hold on but her efforts where useless. She felt a sharp pain in her right shoulder and Inalu bit down and pulled her off. She struggled to get free, but that only made Inalu's fangs rip threw her shoulder. The she-pup fell to the ground but she weakly got up and managed to growl. Inalu growled back and took a step towards her. Rissa got up and growled loudly at Inalu. "PUP KILLER!!" she growled at him. Inalu winced and whipped around to face her. "Do you think I like killing pups when my own pups are so close?!" Inalu growled. He glanced back at a grey female who had four pups cuddled by her belly, then he looked back at Rissa. Two big wolves -bigger than Rissa- steped infront of her. "Inalu is only thinking of what is right to keep the pack safe." the first big wolf whispered to Rissa. "Yes, Rissa. Please try to understand." said the second wolf. Sadly now all Rissa could do was watch and see what happened to her only surviving pup. Inalu turned to face the she-pup and stalked towards her. "Inalu wait." said a voice that was behind them. It was the grey female, Inalu's mate. "Lifemate, I think this pup wants to live." said the she-wolf. Inalu turned and faced her. "Marra, you know as well as I do that we cannot have outsider blood in the pack." Inalu said. "Let her live, Inalu." said Marra as she stepped between him and the she-pup. "Marra get out of the way." said Inalu as he glared at her. Marra looked at the she-pup she stood infront of then looked at him. "Look at the sky Inalu," said Marra as she looked at him. "It was turned black from the clouds. The Great-Ones is angry. I think they want the she-pup to live." and just as Marra finished what she said two misty wolves appeared. "Let the she-pup live." said the first one. The second wolf looked at Marra. "You are very brave to try to protect your sister's last remaining pup." said the second wolf. "I could not stand by any longer and let Rissa watch her last pup be killed." said Marra. Inalu ducked his head and bowed to the misty wolves. "Greatwolves, Welcome." said Inalu as he greeted the Greatwolves. "Hello Inalu." the Greatwolves said at the same time. "Greatwolves, you know as well as I do that outsider blood could bring death to the pack." said Inalu. The Greatwolves glared at him. "We know the rules of the valley Inalu, We are some of the ones who created the rules." said the first Greatwolf. Inalu bowed his head more and his tail went limp. The second Greatwolf looked at Rissa. "What is this she-pup's name?" asked the Greatwolf. Rissa looked at the Greatwolves and bowed her head before speaking. "I have named her Ice, Daughter of the Winter that freezes the Great River." said Rissa. The first Greatwolf went over to the she-pup. "You may live Ice-smallteeth. But you may not live in this pack. She must be exiled" said the Greatwolf. "NO!" screamed Rissa. The second Greatwolf looked at Rissa. "We are sorry Rissa but this she-pup is not meant for pack life here." Tears where streaming down Rissa's face. "But I want to live with Mother!" yelped Ice. "Please let her live here untill she can live on her own!" Pleaded Rissa. Inalu glared at Rissa with cold eyes "How dare you argue with the Greatwolves! We must do as they say!" Inalu snarled as he looked at Rissa. "We shall leave now." said the first Greatwolf. The first Greatwolf disappeared into the mist and the second one started to fallow but stopped and looked at Ice. "Grow fast, learn everything you can, and live long Ice-smallteeth." said the second Greatwolf then it disappeared into the mist as well. Inalu bowed his head as well as the rest of the pack. Ice looked at the ground. Tears filled her eyes. I'll never see Mother again... thought Ice. Then she looked at Inalu. Inalu padded to Ice and whispered to her. "I am sorry young one. But I must do what the Greatwolves tell me too.." Inalu said as he looked at her. He picked Ice up and carried her to the boarder. "I am sorry but you must leave, or the Greatwolves will send hunters to kill you." said Inalu as he placed her down. Ice sadly nodded and slowly headed into the forest. She could hear her mothers calls and howls of pain from losing all of her pups. Ice kept going, knowing that if she turned back she would be killed...

    Five months later...

Ice ran and ran as she fled from hunter dogs and humans. Ice had tried to hunt some sheep that were in a field but the humans saw her and they went after her with their guns. Please someone, Anyone, please help me!! Ice pleaded in her head. She was only twelve months old now but she was very skinny. Though she was smart and she was learning to be brave. Sadly she had picked the wrong time to try and hunt. The dogs and humans were not giving the up the chase. Ice skidded to a stop when she came to a cliff. "Oh No!" yelped Ice. Ice turned to face the humans and dogs. She slowly backed up until her hind paws were at the very edge. The humans and dogs got closer and closer. Oh I hope I'm right about this! thought Ice as she turned and leapt off the cliff and into the river. Ice's head popped out of the water and she could hear the humans yelling and the dogs barking. The swift river carried Ice many miles until Ice was finally able to get to shore. She dragged herself far enough from the river in case it flooded. Ice finally collapsed near a tree and passed out. A few hours later she woke up to see a beautiful forest. I guess this is my home now... thought Ice. Ice looked around to see that this forest had much more prey than the old forest she use to live in. "I will definitely get a good meal here." Ice mumbled to herself. And from that day on she hunted, fought, lived, and grew into a fine adult she-wolf. Many years later she met other wolves who became her very close friends and her pack-mates.

And that my friends, is Ice's Story and History...
