• The snow sparkled in the full moon's light, a note of Christmas bells chimed upon the wind. The twittering of fairies and imps in the nearby woods mingled with the bells creating a symphony that soothed the soul yet greatly disturbed it too. That was the scene this christmas eve, the scene in which it wall began.
'Crunch, crunch, crunch' went the snow beneath the lite feet of an elf. She lifted her delicate face to the sky and took in the night's beauty with her observant grey eyes. Slowly she turned in a circle taking in the beauty of this Christmas eve., the gentle swoosh of her long white gown and cape echoing around the meadow. Her pale pink lips parted in a soft smile and then she began to sing, her voice danced upon the tree bows and the ears of all who listened. The very forest seemed to glow with the beauty that came from her song.
The meadow began to fill with animals, fairies, and imps alike, all who began to join in in this heart wrenching Christmas carol. And there it was, the first ever Christmas carol, dancing upon the wind which carried it all around the world. And for a few moments the entire earth was still, all listened as the carol chimed upon the wind, and in unity the entire world joined in, men, women, children, elf, faerie, imp, and animal alike. It was a song unlike any had ever heard before.
The elf stopped singing as dawn began to break, her soft smile faded just as she did, just as the elves, faeries, and imps faded. Christmas was over, and no one knew what had happened. But every year since the Christmas elf appears upon the wind with the notes of the first carol upon her lips, bringing with her the magical creatures of old.
