• Chapter 2: Disposal

Miguel's and Requiem's blades collided and they came face to face. Their red eyes met and locked as both of them fought to push the other off balance. Miguel flipped back and began to run up a large wall with amazing speed. Requiem copied his movements and once again they clashed swords.
They jumped off walls, ran on ceiling and flipped throught the air with the sound of their swords clashing creating a tempo. As Miguel flipped through the air Requiem jumped, twisted his body, and slashed his brother across his back. Streams of blood ran from his back and he bared his fangs. When he landed on the ground he sprinted forward and managed to get quite an amount of distance between them.
Requiem landed on the ground with a thud and held his chest panting heavily. He bared his fags and let out a deafening roar. Miguel only smiled at him.
"You cannot fool me brother. You haven't fed yet. You can barely keep up with my movements. I chose to come to your castle at this time, because i knew you were due for another feeding and that you would be weak. That way if you refused my proposition i could dispose of you easily."
Requiem glared at him. "I can still beat you. You were always weaker than me. Even if i hadn't fed in months i could still defeat you."
Miguel tapped one of his clawed fingers to his chin. "You make a good point, brother. You always were one step ahead. But this time." He locked eyes with his brother. "I have an ace in the hole."

Just then a pair of black bat wings sprouted out of his back and tore his shirt. He smiled again and leapt of the nearest window.

"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN BROTHER!"

His voice echoed through the castle and Requiem stood up straight. Black bat wings sprouted from his back tearing his tunice and he followed his brother out of the window. The sky was dark and filled with millions of stars. The moon shone brillantly and some how relaxed Requiem. His state of relaxation didn't last long as Miguel came tearing through the clouds towards him.
Requiem swung his sword forward blocking the oncoming attack and sped up the beating of his wings to fly faster. They fought viciously while circling the castle. After what seemed to fifteen minutes of fighting Miguel landed on the very top of the roof. Requiem landed on the roof also, but on a different part.
"Very good brother," said Miguel. "I was hopin it wouldn't come to this, but i grow bored of our fighting and wish to move on." He smiled again and the ceiling of the rood where he stood began to crack and chip off. The moon behind him turned a dark crimson red the same color of blood and Miguel began to give off a strange red aura. His eyes became a darker shade of red, his fangs and claws grew sharper, and his voice became deeper like that of a beast or one being possesed.
"BEHOLD, MY ACE IN THE HOLE! THIS IS OUR RACE'S TRUE POWER!"
What is this power, thought Requiem.
Miguel lifted his hand and aimed at his brother. "....DIE!"

A large beam of red light exploded from his palm blastin Requiem in his chest. He was sent flying off the roof to weak and injured to sprout his wings. He collided with the rood and began rolling down the side until he fell off once again. He crashed into the ground creating a large crater and where he lost conciousness.
Miguel watched as his brother disappeared from sight and he let out another manical laugh. The aura disapeared, the moon turn white once again, and his body returned to it's orignal state. His laughter was cut short as his cell phone began to ring. He reached into his pocket and pulled it out.
"Hello." He listened as the person spoke. "Yes, he has been disposed of. There is now nothing that will stand in the way of our plans." He listened again. "Yes, i am positve that he is dead. There is no reason to fret." He listened once again. "Yes, i will return to headquarters."

He closed his phone and placed back into is pocket. He grew his wings again and took off into the dark sky with his laughter echoing throught the icy air.
