• After running from Spectre’s forces and wondering around a decimated city for an hour; Ark, Ayala and The Spirit of Light had a brief rest in one of the old houses. They’re on a quest to find Flare. Flare, along with Gaia, and two mysterious people that legend has either forgotten or does not know, helped defeated The Darkness, hoping they have defeated Spectre…but their hope was in vain as the Darkness returned

As alliances from different cultures all over the world try and take back what is theirs; The Darkness is beginning to wage war with other major kingdoms as the battle for the new order rages on…

    The quest continues…

Ark looked out from one of the windows; all he saw out there was a wasteland full of buildings, cars, broken glass and bricks everywhere he looked. The house they were staying in was no different. The house looked as though it had been some sort of rampage (or struggle) of some kind. The Spirit of Light, now known as Terra, was meditating silently as she tried to locate Flare, one of the few remaining Elementals remaining that have not been discovered by Spectre.

Ayala was sleeping on one of the beds that haven’t been tossed aside or broken. She, unlike Ark or Terra, was tired after all the walking and hiding they had to do. Ark came to check on Ayala, who looked so peaceful he couldn’t tell her they had to go.

Terra opened her eyes and stood up, looking around for Ark and Ayala. She found them.

“We need to get moving, Spectre’s servants are on the move”.

Terra poked her three times; Ayala groaned as she got up, hoping everything had been a bad dream.

“I know you wanna stay, but we gotta move, Spectre’s scouts are coming and if they see us, all hope will be lost.” Said Terra as she grabbed her belongings.

Ark opened the door as quiet has he could, then beckoned Terra and Ayala to come. When the coast was cleared, all three began to walk. According to Terra, Flare lives in the north, pass the dreaded Pelen Mountains, where a lot of people go there for a dare or challenge, but have never returned. Only a few have came back to tell the tale of what they have seen; creatures, people and magick unheard of for ages. But not all are evil; there have been rumors from people that survived their perilous journey about a mountain tribe that have lived there since the Dawn of the Machines (which was 2010, when the first Machine Soldier was created)

Upon near the Mountain, Ark went up ahead to scout the area for enemies. Whilst he was away, Ayala asked Terra what kind of person Flare is. To Ayala’s surprised; Terra looked a bit happier than she had in a while.

“Flare was respected as person who knows a lot more than people think; He is quite powerful. I reckon he can teach you and Ark a little thing about Magick and fighting.” Said Terra, as she looked at Ayala’s face, who was wondering about something.

“How come I didn’t see Flare during the opening ceremony when the other Elementals were maded Generals?” Ayala asked again.

“Although Flare was respected as an Elemental, he never trusted the army he had received. The other Elementals, particularly Fire, Thunder and Earth, often annoyed him because of that. After the Elementals went to war, Gaia asked Flare to live in the mountains until his services is needed, which is why we are finding him.”

Ark came back, with some good news.

“The area is cleared and we should reach the end of the mountain by nightfall, I have seen a small cliff where we can take shelter from.” Said Ark hopefully.

All three of them started to climbing up a small cliff before walking again, the sunset was gradually setting, and the moon was nearly showing.

Meanwhile, in the Temple of Darkness…

The whole building had a presence of evil, fear and despair, for Spectre and The Machines rules the land of Andros. All you could hear was the metallic stomping and voices, speaking in a different language. Spectre walked away from his throne to look at his newly created Dark Tower; where it not only holds the main bulk of his machine forces, it is also contains the Elementals (and Gaia’s) prison. He seemed to be thinking of something that has been bothering him for some time, until a Machine Commander appeared; he was slightly bulkier than the rest of the army, armed with a sword made of (a very rare) metal.

“Ah, Tergo, what news do you bring, have you found any survivors or any resistance during your purge?” asked Spectre. he looked at his commander, hoping to get the answers he wanted.

“No, they have either ran away or got killed during the invasion, not many people survived though, my lord.” Tergo replied, he bowed afterwards.

“Good, then we shall then take over the next kingdom, which is in the mountains up the north; The Mountain Tribe will be no match against our army.”

He looked out as The Machine Army was standing in rows of 10, there was more than 40 Machines out there. He beckoned Tergo to come forward a little to look at his army before him.

“Send them with you to begin the assault, and if you see the Spirit of Light or anyone assisting her cause; kill her on sight; she is the only one that can match me in magick.” Spectre commanded, as Tergo went away with the orders.

Spectre continued to look out the window. From a distance, he saw Tergo ordering the army and all of them went into several tanks. One by one, each tank rolled on with the sounds of heavy movement and evil shouting, the sounds echoed for miles…

    Back on the Mountain…

“We’re almost there Ayala, come on.” Said Terra, she sounded like something is bothering her. She seems to be sensing someone powerful walking towards them. Ayala managed to climb up and began to walk to the shelter.

But before Ayala, Ark and Terra could carry on; A person wearing a battered cloak and hood attack them with an orange fireball, clearly indicated them they cannot pass…

“You are not passing here until you have beaten me.” the hooded person commanded and stood there in a fighting stance.

As the heroes are being blocked by this mysterious person, who seem to have some knowledge of magick at his disposal; The Machine army, led by Commander Tergo, continues to march towards the main target, which is where the Mountain Tribe lives.
Will the heroes manage to defeat this foe, or will the Darkness claim them as their prize?

    To be continued…
