• Chapter 2

You would think the only thing going through Vay's mind as her eminent exposure neared, was an elaborate but successful escape plan.

I wonder if i look o.k. with this halter. I wasn't expecting to find anything worth dressing for, but it does show off my figure pretty well....

Yeah. What can I say? Wouldn't you worry about your appearance if you were going to get caught by gods??

Speaking of gods, they did the strangest thing. Instead of jumping behind the trees where Vayla sat, they stopped a few feet short of her hiding spot. Adonis lit a cigarette out of nowhere and they stood quiet, almost still. Vay almost forgot herself and thought she stared at two life-size statues. Confusion took over her awe though. Had she imagined their determined stares from across the street?

You know, I don't think Alex would be too happy if he found out some stranger is witnessing our little gathering. What do you think Dante? said the Golden god.

Of course the Adonis had to have a spectacular name like Dante. Wait, they were talking about Vayla! Her mind raced. Was this a warning?

If he didn't know about that stranger, I don't think it would be a problem. Especially if someone were to pass them off as friends, right Kai? replied Dante with a devilish smile plastered on his face.

Kai responded with his own smile and turned to where Vayla sat.

You might as well come out, but do it nonchalantly so that you don't attract attention. I don't think anyone is looking Kai said in Vayla's direction.

Now what was a girl to do with that kind of request. More like a demand coming from Mr. Golden boy. Her fear gone, replaced by indignation by Kai's authoritative tone. Who was this man to tell her how to save herself? O. K. ridiculous but still, who wants to be told what to do by a dominant... gorgeous....god??? Fine. Never mind.

Vayla dusted off the piecs of grass off her hind and awkwardly walked towards them. Her legs were stiff from the few tense minutes she sat on the floor. She warily stared at them, hoping they weren't going to do anything fishy. She was ready to protect herself at any moment!

But of course, her renowned clumsiness decided the make an appearance and trip her on top of them both. Well, more like falling over Kai and having Dante trying to catch her as she fell. The end result had her sprawled on the floor with a sprained ankle half on Kai and Dante half on her. With any other situation, this would have been great (except for the sprain part). But it wasn't. She was in an awkward position between two too gorgeous guys. Her body had the gall to blush on her.

There goes the nonchalant entrance. You think you can make it to the other side without attracting, say.. the cops? said Kai with a dry voice.

When Vayla looked up from her sore spot, she saw that all the people from the gang peered at them curiously. Maybe somewhat angrily as well, at least from the females.
But that was the last thing on her mind. A tall VERY angry looking man came stalking up to them. This, she assumed, was the Alex that they were trying to fool.

Name. Now. he all but whispered, yet that didn't matter because she heard it loud and clear.

Vayla Santana. I live around here she proclaimed with as much dignity she could muster while still somewhat sprawled with Kai and Dante.

Renee's daughter?? What the hell are you doing out at this hour?! he almost bellowed.
    Wait. Pause the moment.

Wait. Hold on. How the hell do you know my mother?? Vayla replied back. By this time the fear had evaporated. Confusion was now knocking on her poor shell shocked head as she tried to assemble the information into some logical fit.

    Oops. <--alex
