• Kiliax slid into his master's bedroom, hiding to see what really went on in this peculiar study while he was asleep. He heard the slightest creeking of footsteps, and retreated to the wardrobe, where he left the door open a crack to witness whatever happened next. Griffor entered the room in a rather boring and lazy manner, and Kiliax slid down a bit. Griffor proceeded to his study, where he sat down and began to write within the confines of his notebook, which was locked with a key fastened around his neck.

"Kiliax will be so very excited when I suprise him with the fact that he will become a knight tommorrow! Absolutely delighted, indeed..." He muttered to himself as he scribbled a rather child-like drawing of his family crest, which Kiliax would wear upon his chain-link armor within the week.

"I'm sure he would be, if he would live to see it. Your time has come, Griffor. I was hired by Ezvic Frechetta of the Hospitaliers to, "dispose" of your pupil. Your time has come to an end, Griffor Hippero!" A hooded man whispered as he approached an unsuprised Griffor.

"Hmmph... Ezvic has resorted to hiring Masayaf scum like you to take care of his dirty work. What ever happened to honor? I disgress, I am rather suprised that you would approach me before attending to the child. A little unprofessional, no?" Griffor said as he closed his book. Kiliaxs eyes widened as he realized he had been hired to kill him.

"The boy? is he not with you?" The hooded man asked as he flicked his eyes quickly around the room as Griffor, noticing the lack of commotion from Kiliaxs room, flicked his eyes to the wardrobe in which Kiliax sat. Their eyes connected, and Kiliax could've sworn a flash of fear spread accross his master's face.

"I can get the boy later, anyhow. You, on the other hand, are much more important to me now. Do you not recognize me, Griffor?" The man said, retracting his hood.

Griffors eyes widened. "Kryllas! No! I..I killed you."

"Hahah, good one, Griffor. You believe I would really die as a result of our little "scrimmage"? Hardly. I merely feigned my death, as my mission had been accomplished. But you did leave me a rather nasty scar, which you will pay for with your life." As soon as the words left his mouth, he drew his blade and slashed at Griffor. Griffor reacted almost immediately, drawing his blade and blocking the incoming attack. The assassin flicked his blade, and the old man flew back a few feet, apparently beaten. Then Kryllas rose his blade to pierce the old man's heart, and missed as Griffor rolled sideways, grabbing his sword. Kryllas was detained momentarily as his blade became lodged into the wooden flooring. Griffor took this chance to slice into Krylass' left shoulder. Krylass let out a cry and pulled his sword from the ground in an uppercut that smashed Griffor's blade in two.

"Goodbye, old friend.." Kryllas said as he plunged his sword deep into Griffor's chest. Kiliax stared in horror as the man before him slid his blade through the chest of his master.

"You...you killed him.." He said as the wardrobe door creeped open, his emotions withdrawn deep within his heart.
The man let off a tiny smirk as he withdrew his sword from the chest of Kiliax's fallen master, Griffor. The blade shimmered a crimson red as if taunting Kiliax with the old knight's blood.

"He was just a bonus. I was ordered to kill you, as you are a threat to modern society, you insolent boy. I was specifically ordered to poison you, but I can deal with the problems when they come." Kryllas said as he raised his blade at Kiliax.

"I will make sure you pay for what you've done!" Kiliax said, his eyes red with tears. Kiliax withdrew the blade that rested in its sheath at his side, and gripped it tightly. Kryllas merely laughed at the confidence the boy had, and threw his blade at the child's head, slicing through his skull. At least, thats what should've happened. Kiliax ducked and raised his hand cautiously, catching Krylass' blade by the hilt. The smile faded from Krylass' face as he absorbed what had just happened.

"Any last words?" Kiliax asked as he crossed the blades above the assassin's head, who was at this point kneeling.

"Please don't kill me! I never wanted to be an assassin, I was born into it! I'm not a killer, I just do it to put bread on the table for my wife and children..." Krylass said as his eyes lowered to the ground, as though to hide his emotions. Kiliax , feeling exceptionally guilty, raised the swords and threw Krylass' blade across the room.

"Fine." He simply said, as he turned and walked away.

"Idiot boy, never turn your back on an opponent, especially an assassin! And I'm prevented from any relationships! If you ever paid attention, you'd know this!" Kryllas said, begginning in a mutter and ending it as a scream as he grasped his blade and charged full-speed toward Kiliax. Wordlessly, he whipped around and sliced across Krylass' throat, killing him instantly.

"Unfortunately for you, Krylass, I did pay attention to my master." Kiliax said as he turned and sheathed his sword, then went to the door.

"TIme for Ezvic to feel my wrath as well." He said, exiting into the night.
