• Ame ran through the dark forest at top speed, trying to escape the Vampire Hunters. She also had to be careful, their traps were hidden practically everywhere. She was getting closer to town, they wouldn't follow her there. Well, at least they wouldn't chase her though town, there would still be people roaming around even though it was close to midnight. The Hunters didn't want the townspeople to know that Vampires roamed amongst them, it would most likely cause a panic.

She could see the town about two miles from where she was. She had to slow down a little bit before she reached town or she would keep on going. She was so concentrated on slowing down, she didn't even notice the trap that was clearly visible in front of her. She ran straight into it. The ground beneath her was gone, and she was tangled up in a net. "Crap..." She had to think of a quick way to escape. She didn't want to fight the Hunters tonight, she hadn't fought any in a long time. Ame hadn't run into any and if she had, she was with other Vampires or she escaped easily.

Ame sighed and unsheathed one of the daggers strapped to her leg. She started cutting at the net in different places. When there was a big enough hole, she fell through and landed on her feet. She hid behind a tree as she heard the Hunters becoming closer. They all gathered around the broken net. "Damn, I thought we had the bloodsucker. Spread out and look for her." The leader of the Hunters ordered. They began to look around where Ame possibly would have gone. One of the Hunters walked past her and looked right at her. She must have been hiding well for him not to have seen her. After he had walked a distance away from her, she slipped away from the tree and started to run towards town.

Ame walked through the streets out of boredom. She didn't see anyone she knew around and she couldn't sense any either. But then Alex came out of an alley that led to the cemetery. What's Alex doing in the cemetery? She thought. Ame started to walk towards Alex. "Hey." Alex looked up at her and smiled. "Hello Ame." Alex was timid most of the time, which made it hard to start a conversation with her. "So, why were you in the cemetery?" Ame didn't like to be thought of as nosy, she was just curious most of the time. "Oh, I was just taking a stroll. I got distracted and ended up there." Alex replied. Ame could tell she was lying, but didn't say anything. Ame then got a feeling like she was being watched. She looked around to see who was staring at her, but didn't see anyone. She then got a feeling like something bad was going to happen. Ame liked to speak her mind most of the time.

"Hey Alex, I'm just wondering... do you feel like something bad is going to happen?" She then heard someone behind her. "That feeling just might be me." A male Vampire had appeared behind her and Alex. "I'm just kidding though. Actually, I'm lost. I was wondering if you could help me?" He had a confused look on his face. "Where are you going?" Ame asked him. "That I don't know actually. I think I'll just follow you guys. You seem to know the way around. By the way, I'm Vermillion." He smiled. "Oh, okay. I'm Ame, nice to meet you." Vermillion nodded and looked at Alex and waited for her to say something. "Oh, and this is Alex." Ame smiled. She didn't know if Alex would say anything, but she didn't.

They walked down the street, and appeared in the center square of the town. Ame looked around to see if anyone was around. She then spotted some teenage boys looking at them. She looked back with her sweetest face and winked at the one with black curly hair. She giggled when she faced forward again. They had stopped walking and went to go sit on a bench near the water fountain.

"Pst. Ame, is Alex okay?" Ame looked at Alex. "Oh, she's okay. She doesn't talk much." Alex then looked over at Ame. "I'm fine. And I can speak for myself Ame. Anyway, I need to go. I'll talk to you later." Ame waved as Alex went in the other direction. "Well, I guess I should go too. I'll see you later Vermillion." Ame waved and ran in the direction of her house, which was in the surrounding forest. She didn't run into any Vampire Hunters on the way. She walked into her house. She didn't think she need to sleep, but she went up to her room anyway and laid down in her bed. Ame didn't know that she was so tired. She was asleep within 5 minutes.
