He strode up to the dais and grasped the hilt of the sword before him-its power instantly searing away his mortal shell.
In its wake it left armor of pure gold. With a thought he twitched the wings that now protruded from his back. His hair had also taken on a golden tint.
His Sun Staff was nowhere inside, a sad loss-but he knew it was for the better. A weapon made with evil intention was not meant to be.
