I love adding ribbons to my stuff, and I was already working with eggs, so I figured why not. Getting the black ribbon exposed correctly while not blowing out the white egg is extremely hard. So I had to use two different exposures and combine them together.
Unfortunately, the egg is still so white it disappears into the background (but the line of the egg is in there, just really lightly). I couldn't find a good solution for making the egg stand out of a white background. It's a shame :( - Date: 02/27/2010

- I agree with Ich bin furchtlos, but do have a suggestion for next time you have a subject that blends into the background(in this case, the egg) you could pick something off-white to place the egg on, or just use photoshop or whatever program you have handy to change the color of the background. I think a very faint pink or even a light gray may have worked nicely...very nice though smile

- I have nothing to say that you have not already said yourself. I like the idea and with a little work with your light heat I am sure you will accomplish your goal.
