True Friends



The Hall of Knights


Katerina didn't sleep well that night, in fact no one in the Hall slept well. She got up and dressed herself, Katerina was to meet with Lord Vingerhutt to talk about Sakura. Katerina could tell around Sakura that Sakura was trying to avoid Lord Vingerhutt. Just like Sakura thou, she didn't tell anyone. Katerina found it strange that it all started after King Ferid left. Katerina walked over to her window and looked outside. She always liked the days after storms but now, that was a whole other story. There was a knock on the door, it was Paula, "Ma'am, Lord Vingerhutt is in the meeting room." Katerina turned from the window and walked out the door.
When Katerina got to the meeting room, not only was Lord Vingerhutt there but his son Snowe. Katerina then noticed that Kennth, Jewel, Tal, and Paula were guarding the room from the inside. "Well then Lord Vingerhutt, lets get this matter over with." Lord Vingerhutt then creasted his brow, "Yes. But in order to do that, I believe we have to change a few things." Snowe didn't look all that happy, Katerina was questionable, "What do you mean by 'change' M'lord?" Lord Vingerhutt then patted his son's shoulder. "Snowe will be named Commander and to so, he will kill the one who killed Glen!" Kennth, Jewel, Tal, Paula, and Katerina were in shock, that would mean killing Sakura.

Sakura awoke in her bed, she turned on her right side and over heard a few knights. "I can't believe it." "She was are greatest trainie..." "So what? She'll be killed after this." Sakura sat up wide eyed, they were talking about her, and...Glen! She picked up her left hand and looked at it, the mark was still there, and it still hurt. There was a knock at the door, "I'm coming in." it was Katerina. She came in almost shocked to see her awake, "We have settled on your punishment," Sakura when wide eyed again and looked at Katerina, "Punishment?" Katerina continued with what she was saying, "you are to be exiled from the kingdom. You will be put a drift on a small ship, and you are never to return to Gaian or Razil. The exilement will take place tomorrow, until then you are confind to your room." Katerina was just about to leave but Sakura stood, "What did I do that was wrong?" Katerina turned around and pointed a fingure at her, "You, traidor, killed Commander Glen! You should be greatful you aren't be beheaded!" "I didn't kill Glen! My hands are not stained with his blood! More or less your crazy to think I would ever raise a sword at the man who raised me!?" Katerina turned her back to her and walked out the door.
Sakura fell on her knees and cried. She never showed her emotions until now, 'Why am I crying now of all times!? Oh well, I might as well get changed. There's no point in me wearing this knights uniform.' Sakura stood wipping the remaining of her tears away and walked over to her trunk. She flipped it open to find a package there, but she was more into looking for some clothes rather than tearing up a package. Sakura put the package on her bed and dug through the clothes in the trunk. She then found a pair of black ankle highs and put them on. That was when she noticed her sword was taking away from her, but she shrugged that feeling off. The next article of clothing shocked her, it was her old dress the one she wore as a girl. It was now much smaller thou, but big enough to wear it as a top. Sakura then took off the armor first and tost it on her bed, then took off her blue shirt and tost that on to the bed as well, she then put on carefully her old dress. Sakura looked at her mirror from where she stood, she could see herself, Sakura prefured this outfit more than her knights clothes.
She then found a comman pair of brown shoes, but they had holes in the front and back. Sakura chose to leave her bandaged socks on and put on the shoes. There was a knock at the door and two knights were seen in the door way, "Give us your knight armor." Sakura only nodded and handed them her armor freely, they then left. She then turned to her trunk and pulled out a shack. Sakura then looked through her trunk to find a map and a pen, she then stuffed those both into her shack. Sakura then found two old pictures that she treasured and stuffed them into her shack as well. Then finally she put her package in as well. She decided to open that on the exile ship. Sakura then instead of tying her bandanna to the side of the bed, tied it into her hair. She then lied back down on her bed, with the shack on the floor next to her bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, Sakura awoke just before the sunrise. She sat up in her bed and held her shack close to her. There was a knock on her door, "I'm awake." the door swang open and Tal and Paula both came in. Sakura put her bag down on her bed and stared at her two friends. "Please you two, you know I would never raise a sword at Glen." Tal then came to her and held both of her hands, "Everyone believes that, but theres no proof so Lord Vingerhutt won't listen." Paula then came forth and put her hands over Tals, "Snowe was the one who made sure you weren't to be killed. He lied and said his arm still hurt from the ship. Lord Vingerhutt bought it and changed the sentance to exilement." They both took their hands away, "Where's Jewel and Kennth?" "We haven't seen them all day." Tal answered Sakura's question. Paula then checked her shack and saw the package, "What's this?" Sakura and Tal turned to Paula, "I found it in my trunk, randomly. I don't know what's inside." Paula knew her friend wasn't a liar and put the package back into her shack and tied it close, Sakura then came by her friend and took a hold of it.
Another knock came from the door, "When she's ready, escourt her to the port." Sakura then turned to Tal and Paula, "Tell Snowe thank you for me, and tell Kennth and Jewel thanks as well." Tal and Paula were puzzled, "Why?" asked Tal, "I thank you two as well, for being there as friends." Sakura smiled and walked up to the door, "I'm not afraid to do this you two, as long as my friends believe I didn't do it, I will return to Razil and prove it." Tal and Paula walked up to Sakura and hugged her, for what seemed to be their last time. The two then let go and walked Sakura to the port.
Outside, there were knights, but they weren't throwing things at her, some were even crying. Sakura only looked at those few and smiled, that left those people in shock that she was smiling. Once outside of the Hall, villagers were gathered as well. Once she was almost there to the docks, Sakura spotted a girl standing next to her mother crying. Tal and Paula let her bent down to give the girl a hug. The people around that girl were shocked. Sakura then put down that girl and patted her on the head smiling. Sakura continued to walk alone up to the ship that would take her away. She then looked at Katerina on the ship with her, she came near her, but not too close that the knights would think she'll do something. "Katerina, teach Snowe to be brave in tight spots." Sakura then smiled and walked over to a good size rowing boat. It may have been a rowing boat but it was pretty big, it was like a fishing boat for a fisherman. The boat even had a hull, they were loading up boxes and such on to this boat.
Once they were out a good distance they put Sakura into the boat and lowered it carefully. Katerina then came over the side of the boat and looked at Sakura for one more time, "If forture favors you, a ship will pick you up. Glen trusted you like a daughter, was that trust misplaced? What was it? Farwell Sakura," she then turned to the knights, "alright, prepare to sail." Sakura watched as the ship sailed back into a tick fog. She then sat down and took out the package; it was alittle long in lenth, but she tore it open and lifted the box lid. Inside the box were the two twin blades that Glen gave her to fight with Ferid. There was a letter inside she read it and got wide eyed with tears, but wiped the tears away and put on her swords and stood looking into the fog.
"OW! I think my leg is cramped!" Sakura turned to hear two people on the boat with her, "Ow! Kennth! That's my foot! Whoa!" Jewel then came falling out of one of the boxes and landed right in front of Sakura. Kennth then popped his head out of the same box. "Jewel? Kennth? What are you two doing here?" Jewel then stood and brushed herself off, "We thought we'd come along for the ride. Come on lets row to find some land." Sakura then looked at her friends puzzled, "Row?" Kennth then got out of the box, "We brought them with us, I think we put them back here...HUH!?" Kennth then backed away from something. Sakura and Jewel came over, "What's wrong?" asked Jewel, "Something just moved back there!" Jewel, Sakura, and Kennth looked back there and something came flying out of a box. "Whoa!" Jewel and Kennth backed away, Sakura then just giggled, "Its only Chiepoo. *giggles*"
