"How the hell should i know?!"
"I dont Know your supost to be smart!"
"Jagreet the news dude just said its nothing, probably from
the fires or something-"
"Smoke it gray though."Jagreet interupts.
"Jagreet no need to freak ok, if your that edgy about it then
stay inside." I demanded still peering out at the smog.
"I guess, but still i doubt that dude is telling the truth, This isnt fire
smoke.." Jagreet said letting out a dis daintfull breath.

She turned away from the window and looked back at the TV. I was still intersted in the smog though. I could also tell the news dude was lying. I just did not want
Jagreet to get overly spazed out about the subject.
She had a history of making a big deal out of nothing. But little did i know
That it was giong to be the cause of coruption
madness, and the destruction of are world. I sat besides Jagreet watching
TV. silently for about 1o minutes b4 the news caught are eyes again.
"This just in, we are in a red alert and we advise you not to step out side. The smog level is gettin terribly high and the air may not be easily breath able." The news man announced not once breathing threw the hole speech.
Jagreets eyes suddnely shifted to myne.
"You cant stay here," Jagreet cried looking into my eyes.
"why?"
"B/c my parents come home and i dont think i was supost to have ppl over today."
She answered grabing my coat and tossing it to me.
"Well ill call you when i get home, i guess" I said not beliving what was really hapening.
I was getting kicked out of my best freinds house, even though it was dangerous
for me to leave the house. I grabed my back pack and threw it over my shoulder
"Talk to you in a few." i said stepping out of house some what angry at her.
"ok." she wispered b4 shutting the door behind me.
It seemed to slam against the hinges as if Jagreet was mad.

I looked before me as the smog seemed to be getting thicker.
I covered my mouth with my arm and stepped off Jagreets porch.
I was nervous not knowing what this smoke could do to me.
There was a reason they didnt want anyone outside. i thought.
This could get me sick or something like breathing in cigerat smoke maybe.
It smelled sweet oddly. Kinda minty but more like a dentists office.
So the smog didnt exactly smell bad.
It surrounded me and i couldnt see my sneekers when i looked down.
Soon i could barely see, but i was getting closer to home so i pressed on.
The trees around the neigbor hood seemed to be wilting.
The leaves falling off in summer? seemed strange to me. The grass was now orange, a peachy orange froth choked my surroundings. The sun was blotted out
By the smoke and the whisky white clouds were gone.
they had been replaced with what looked like blobs of orange gum.
Pressed against the sky not letting go of its grip.
I felt un easy trying not to touch anything. There was no one around not a sound.
The air was now frigid and unpleasent. I kept my hood up trying not to breath in the smog. but clearly it was impossible i had to breath. as i sucked in air i saw it trail into my mouth.
When i exhaled i saw it again but it came out a darker orange and smelled like gasoline. I started to run now to escape this sea of blinding orange. It would have helped if i could have seen better. BUt i couldnt see very far infront of my face. barely could see my hand treched out infront of me. I suddenly tripped on some kind of plant. Luckily i put my hands out and it broke my fall. I tried to feel what i tripped on out of curiosity.
I had ahold of something but couldnt exactly see what it was.
It was smooth and skinny. Something seemed to be rapped around it. i picked it up and carried on.
more wary this time. My knee was slightly grazed but i was fine.
I was right infront of my house only reason i could tell was b/c i stepped on barrys.
which cover are drive way b/c of are tree. I slowly crept up the driveway and opened the garage.

The car was there so my dad was home.
