• Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor
    stolen from the mighty God
by Thrym, a tricky Giant for
    barter, to gain Freya's hand.
    All of Asgard had discussed,
since Freya's rage shook the Earth,
and Heimdall, son of nine mothers put forth
Thor to take her place much to Loki's mirth.
When suggested Thor play blushing Bride
    Loki called for Bridesmaid's role,
    and offered to accompany Thor
and make Thrym pay his toll.
So off they went in gorgeous dress
    hair plaited and wearing veil
    and secretly Thor did hope
no one would know this tale.
    Thor wore splendid Brisingamen
    Freya's lovely necklace shone
Loki wanted to have some fun
Thor just wanted his task to be done.
Arriving in snow-covered Jotunheim to the home of Thrym across the river Iving
Thor and Loki in disguise tricked Thrym into believing
that masculine Thor was Freya merely tired and hungry from eight days traveling,
and with Loki's help were successful in deceiving.
So they ate and celebrated and Thrym was delighting
in having Freya for his bride,
And when the Hammer was presented to perceived beautiful maiden,
Thor dropped the charade and let loose a war-cry
and within minutes slaughtered the company and with joy again he was laden.
