• I'm in a room

    what sort of room?

    A room of entertainment

    what kind of entertainment?

    Singing. I'm singing.

    singing?

Everyone around me is singing. The lights are so bright.

    what color are the lights?

Many are bright white like the sun…

    The sun? Not the stars?

Brighter than the stars. Blinding like the sun.

    Not like the moon?

The moon doesn't shine. It glows like a lamp….not on it's own. Just in front of the sun. the others are not.

    the others?

the other lights. They aren't like the sun. They're like purple street lights. Making my eyes burn.

    burn?

I can't look at them, they hurt. I close my eyes and imagine eyes.

    eyes? what sort of eyes?

Everyone's eyes. Cat eyes. Dog eyes. People eyes. A little boys lost eyes.

What color are the lost eyes?

They are blue, like the sky, but deep like the ocean.

    why are they lost?

He has no family. Abandoned and alone. Sad. Rejected by all he loved. Relized to late what he lost.

    What did he lose?

    Everything.

    How old is he?

Old enough to know pain beyond reason. Young enough to love unconditionally.

    What is he doing?

    Sitting in the middle…

    The middle of what?

The room. No one is singing. No one is there. Only endless silence. Unbearable silence.

    What is he doing now?

Sitting and crying. Speaking in a different language. The people are here now. They're singing

    Singing?

Singing happy songs. They don't see him. why can't they see him?

    Why can't they see him?

They are blind. Blinded by ignorance. He's screaming now.

    Can they hear him?

No. He's saying something. Something in a different language. I can understand.

    What is he saying?

He's saying "Mom! where is my mom? we were so hungry! she went to get us food. where is she?!" his face is changing now

    changing?

Changing shapes, colors, tones, eyes. rapidly. faces of hunger, faces of loss.

    what is he doing?

It is no longer a he. but rather a light now. Switching genders, voices, and is now a bright light. It's weeping on the stage.

    You never mentioned a stage.

The stage just appeared. It's weeping, dying. Absorbing the lights from around us as horrifying as seeing the sun go out.

    and then?

    And then there was darkness.

    Is that it?

There is a light, then those same blue eyes.

    Is that all?

No, he…he's saying something. In many different languages. Different faces. Faces of the lost.

    what is he saying?

"When will you open your eyes and see me? See us? I'm here. Help me. We're here. Help us."
