• The shades of sorrow,

    deepen through my heart,

as shards of pain and anger,

    break it all apart.

    once I thought I was,

    just as I should be,

    a happy, jolly guy,

and friendly as I could be.

    as the years went by,

I started to change my ways,

    and soon I became,

    like cloudy thundering days,

    it was sunny,

long time ago in my heart,

    but now it only rains,

and washes away the sunny part,

    the trees in my heart,

    never sway to the wind,

    they only break apart,

at the clap of thundering wings,

the birds never sing their song,

through the forests of my heart,

    I only hear wails echoing,

    that tear my heart apart.

    The shades of sorrow,

    deepen through my heart,

as shards of pain and anger,

    break it all apart.
