• Sing to me a Love Song

Sing to me a love song,
    One which I can believe,
    Hear the flow of music,
    One that does not deceive.

For I had gone far enough
And had seen much to be able to tell,
Just what's in store for a woman,
Who could only love so well.

And if you think that as a man it is 'okay'
To go out with every female each night,
    to look around and play,
then it's better if you shut it now or see the end of your days.

For I am just a girl who's had enough,
turned into a woman who looks and acts tough,
But knows better yet when the pain starts,
To realize I'm still human with a broken heart.

So what's so wrong with me?
    as I used to say,
People guys, girls said I'm perfect,
    but never walked my way!

Then they sing fake tunes and lure me out of my way,
    Deceive what was perfect,
    Have the power play,
then go around and dump me half way.

So sing me a song I can firmly believe,
Play the song of love well-received
For many are like myself in the world out there,
Knowing such melody exists out of nowhere.
