• For less than a day in the eyes of eternity
We spend alone and confined in suffering
With each moment this meaningless life further fades
With tears falling from our face

We will not be long remembered
    Forgotten by those still alive
Every man will meet the same fate
The good as the evil must one day die
In the few days we spend on this earth
We are broken and left for dead
    Constrained and unable to move
For so long we have waited for this to end

The pain of our flesh overtakes our closed minds
The wickedness within us has us confined
These walls around us that fell we rebuild
We look in the mirror at the man we have killed
Hopeless and weary we wait for the sky
To darken and let this day pass us by
They say in the morning we will be restored
But what will come of those without the Lord?

Broken dreams dwell in the back of our mind
For this pain alone it seems we were designed
What happens when we seek shelter in this world?
And after this all, what will come of my soul?

We will not be long remembered
    Forgotten by those still alive
Every man will meet the same fate
The good as the evil must one day die
In the few days we spend on this earth
We are broken and left for dead
    Constrained and unable to move
For so long we have waited for this to end

They say in the morning we will be restored
To give life to those living without the Lord

    There will be an end
A place in the heavens we can't comprehend
    Our time here won't last
Ticking and fading with every breath
    Our shelter, our wall
In these deserted streets will fall
    There will be an end
