• They watch her run.
    They hear her scream.
    And They do nothing.
    She pleads,
    she scratches at doors.
Yelling at Them to help her,
but They just stand, staring out their windows
Not a smile on Their faces.
Not a laugh in Their eyes.
    Not a nothing.
    She bleeds,
    she cries.
    They walk away.
    Pretending They don't hear her.
    They know she's there.
    But she's not there.
They go on with Their lives.
    While she lays there,
    reaching out to Them.
    They don't reach back.
