• Every time the sound
    Of a shot rings out
    Every time the ring
    Of and explosion sounds.

    My heart skips a beat
Lost to the sounds of the war.
    Battle cries from soldiers
As they race to their deaths

    War is all around us,
    What are we to do?
    When our men and boys
    Are dying for their county.

    While their wives and
    Kids and families are
    Waiting for them
    To come home.

    But where is the justice,
    In them dying for us?
While we lay in our beds
    Worrying about our lives.

    Just hoping for a miracle
To make it threw the night.
    What have we done
    To be worth their lives?

They say that they are proud.
To be fighting for their country.
To be walking in the footsteps
Of those who've come before them

    And to know that they
    Might not be returning home.
