The Sorrowful Truth

  This was for school. It was actually for a book called Animal Farm (know it?) It was fun to make~ Happy, isn't it?
  
  The animals' new leader manipulated them. They were unable to see that they were being manipulated, and they didn’t seem to realize that things are going to get worse. Now the animals can't bring things back to the way they were... What a miserable fate.

Our minds were open as we took in their words
They promised us the world and we thought them sincere,
Our willpower is broken and cannot be repaired
They show us their power as they rule by fear

No one saw through the lies and false promises
Even when blue skies turned to gray,
No one sees the sorrowful truth
Even more darkness is headed our way

Life as we knew it has ceased to exist
And we've lost the will to rebel,
Life as we know it is full of despair
And it seems like we're living in hell
