• Bubbly and happy
    How every day should be,
    Filled with joy and jubilee.

    The wonder and amazement
That’s in the world around us,
What a wonder and joy it brings.

    We can all be happy
    If we ignore the truth,
    There’s no price to happiness
At least not one you can deduce.

    The world around us
    Is dyeing
    But still we smile on
After all it will all work out.

    People suffer every day
    They are even oppressed
    But why should we worry
We won’t hear about it in the press.

    There is drought and famine
    People suffer slowly and painfully
But we have never met them
So we just go on happily.

Are we too blind to see
That all of this is true
    Are we just brains washed
From someone who wants us to be.

“Of course not” we all say
    We’re happy and free
    But is it really humane
    To smile and be happy?
