• “What’s really going on in the world today?
Where is the love for which we prayed?”
That lyric from, “What’s Going On,” pretty much sums up our generation.
Yes, it applies for every single teen allover the nation

While we’re laying on the couch watching TV,
All this stuff is going on, like wars, death, and disease.
    Aids, Africa, Haiti, and terrorist:
They’re affecting us and that really gets me pissed

We didn’t start any of this crap,
But we’re the ones falling in this gap.
All this because of generations of the past,
Thanks to them we’re really falling fast.

If only there was a way to fix this mess,
But sadly our generation had tried its best.
Since the past got us into this, they must getting us out,
It’s their duty, with out a doubt

If they band together they might get it done!
But thats not happening we still haven’t won.
The generation of old just doesn’t care.
To be blunt, that isn’t fair.

Just because they’ll die before it happens doesn’t mean they can pile it up on us,
That kind of stuff makes me want to cuss.
So please help out with this dilemma,
At least donate or help with FEMA.

So the moral of the song,
And this poem that’s oh so long,
    Is to answer this question,
Marvin asked before he was gone.

    Generation of old,
    ”What’s Going On?”
