• As I gaze at the sky,
I watch my life pass by,
    I stare at the star,
    That seems so far.

    One I cannot reach,
As I lay on the beach,
    I listen to the waves,
As I dream of being saved.

I am trapped in the dark,
With the stars and the lark,
    The pin points of light,
    That seem so bright.

    One star gets brighter,
    One that seems mightier,
    It pushes away the lark,
And the stars and the dark.

    It sweeps me away,
    Into an everlasting day,
    Where no other can go,
    My life seems slow,

    But I don't mind,
No other star for me to find,
    The lark is gone,
    It sung it's last song.

The beach of night is transformed,
Into a meadow of the morn,
That is where I will be,
    My star and me.
