• Gentle sunshine,
    Soft and warm,
    Gliding across the earth,
    Kissing the trees.

    Fretful wind,
    Teasing and cool,
    Whipping back and forth,
    Brushing the grass.

    Birds sing,
    Squirrels chatter,
    Children laugh,
    Feet pound the earth.

    Fun! Joy!
    Love! Life!
    Even I cannot hide
From the sheer pleasure in the air.

    My home, my sanctuary,
So cold and dark and lonely,
    I abandon thee,
    For I'm going to play!

    Hopscotch, jump-rope,
    So many things to do!
    I'll draw on the sidewalk,
    I'll kiss the sun.

    Too much happy,
    Can't sit still,
    Gotta move,
    Gotta get it out!

I force myself to write it down,
I force myself to be still for a moment.
    But the joy, oh, infectious,
    I run, I jump, I play.

    Kissing the sun,
    We have so much fun,
    No one's hiding,
    Not even I. 4laugh
