• As the night gathers I lay in my bed thinking. Anxious for tomorrow I listen as the high schoolers pass my window and cars zoom down my street. The night is young and the people go to sleep. Only about five cars go past in an hour. As the cars go, the night gets softer. While I listen to my window all I van hear is the chirping of crickets. They rock me to sleep and as I close my eyes I silently drift away. All is peaceful and the stillness of the night finally reaches my room, and flies me away.
