[Verse I]
Slippery serpent slides away from the pavement flowing
Lucid faces face themselves take a picture, why don't you
Look away, but you won't because your all knowing
[Pre-chorus I]
You don't realize your petals are wilting away
[Chorus]
Watch the mirror shatter
You can't look at all of your reflections
Passerby can see all of you
Can see your imperfections
We can see the truth
Can see all of your faults...
Can see all of your faults
[Verse II]
Anarchy, arsonist, amazing is your stubbornness
Still you don't realize your petals are falling
Wilting away are your friendships, falling into loneliness
[Pre-chorus II]
Seasons are changing and so are you
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
Vanity viciously flows through your veins
Never wrong, always right, enjoy the sight of yourself
[Chorus]
[Outro]
When all your petals have fallen
You shall be depraved
When all your petals have fallen
The river shall be saved

- Title: Narcissist and the River
- Artist: NoEveForAdam

Description:
This song I wrote was when I was a little angry at how people at my school were acting all high and mighty. There is also a lot of alliteration present in the song.
The term narcissism is derived from the Greek mythology of Narcissus who was handsome man who rejected the desperate advances of the nymph Echo. As punishment, he was doomed to fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. Unable to consummate his love, Narcissus changed into a flower that bears his name, the narcissus. - Date: 07/22/2009
