Trapped in this bleak wicked wood,
Ensnared, to the world I did seclude.
Thou shall think in paradise I’m living,
Yet in this circle I’m always grieving.

    Thy will and determination imperious,
Yet to me remained ever sedulous.
Thy wolf inside didn’t denote to be docile,
I hope tenderness in thy heart I can instill.

    Shall I accept thy defiance?
Or shall I seek my ignorance?
    His shadow you shan’t concern,
    My affection he shan’t return.

    Thy sojourn, it’s my felicity,
It’s in you I found sincerity.
Don’t speak of idleness, I plead,
In my ring of fire thou have slid.

    Here I sat alone, ignoble,
Suddenly thy love came so subtle.
Release me from this poignant feeling,
For thy love I’ll be succumbing.
