• All alone in the dark,

She awaits when the door will open,
Here, all she wants is to be free,
Another day passes by after another,
Does she ever see the light?
    Only in her dreams,
When all her heart is consumed by the darkness,
    Slowly, she falls into slumber,

We watch her but do nothing,
    Each person feels guilt,
    All but one,
Pushing her further into the dark,
    Others just stand by,
    Nothing is to be done,

    I stand there staring,
    Sinking into what's happening,

Tonight something has to be done,
Have all people who don't care for others,
    Eliminated,

Losing faith in the real world,
    I want to help her,
    Go comfort her,
    Help her,
The dark has overpowered her feelings,

The dark has changed her completely,
Hatred is all she thinks about
    All she fears,
    To go back,

    Back to her old self,
    Lost and useless,
I go to her and something stops me,
Nothing is there but I feel it,
"Don't open the door, do you know what the shadows weapon is?" she questions me,
So I answer this,"Don't be afraid of your shadow." she stares and lingers back in the dark.
