• If I wait to watch those cypresses grow,
    Will my aspirations grow vague and fade;
    Those little, helpless seeds I used to sow,
    May not blossom, the petals may cascade.

    I used to fear they'd fall too far to find,
    The beautiful petals of pink and blue;
    That Summer gives way to autumns strong bind,
    While my flowers are forgoten by you.

    Now, I smile though there is no time to waste,
    While sun is in the sky, I'll take my chance;
    Planted for you, where my flowers once graced,
    There always waiting the petals will dance.
    Watch them, my dear, and remember me so,
    For, in my memory those seeds do grow.
