The Girls
Products of
The times you lived in.
Oppressed by
The rules of
Your religion.
You came up with
A way to be noticed.
Without being
Chastised
By your parents.
Every one believed you
When you accused
Those people
Of witchcraft.
They knew you,
Or so they thought.
You would never lie.
Or would you?

- Title: The Girls
- Artist: Niamh_of_Sevenwaters
- Description: This poem is based off of The Crucible by Arthur Miller. It's more or less a tribute to the girls who accused everyone of witchcraft. They weren't bad girls per se, but they were a little misguided and very oppressed. This poem more or less expresses sorrow and pity for them while at the same time, sort of scolding them a little.
