If I were a doll, would you hold me?
If I were air, would you need me?
If I were clay, could you mold me?
If I were a book, could you read me?

If I were a fish, could you lure me?
If I were a ball, would you kick?
If I were a disease, could you cure me?
Or just let me make you sick?

If I were a tool, would you use me?
If I were a harp, could you play?
If I were a game, would you lose me?
Or recklessly send me away?

If I were afraid, would you console me?
and assure me that your'e true?
If I were in love, would you scold me?
Tell me, Darling, what am I to you?

Instead of send, it should be a word like "throw".
