• You try to hold on,
    But your hands are slipping.
    They try to stay firm,
    But they sky is weeping.

    Thunder and lightning,
    Flash violently above.
    You cry out for help,
And you cry out for love.

    Angels fly beyond,
    Not knowing the struggle,
    Of a mortal soul,
    Masterpiece to rubble.

    One angel pauses,
And turns its eyes to you.
    It takes your weak hand,
    And flies up with you.

    Once you're ten thousand
    Feet high into the air,
It drops you from its' grasp,
    And no one could care.

    You try to stop it,
You don't want to be gone,
    But you're still falling,
And you try to hold on.
