• Lost Soul

    Part 1:

Rip me apart, tell me who I be,
What am I, eyes let me see,
Release this spirit, I pray to thee.

Come, let me know who I am,
How is it that I am left to damn,
Release this spirit, lead this lost lamb.

Free me, I call to those,
Display to me what the soul knows,
Release this spirit, heal my woes.

Help me, call me away from this hell,
Unhinge me from the darkness where I fell,
Release this spirit, if you know how, pre-tell.

Bring a light to shine through my days,
To a place where the resting soul lays,
Release this spirit, the one who never prays.

Break down these walls, free my soul,
Let me hear your voice, make me whole,
Release this spirit, pull me from this blackened hole.

    Part 2:

I hear your voice, yet know not a name,
Buried in doubt against this invincible game,
Aid my spirit, release me from the same.

The voice, so soothing, I hear a call,
    Still unfamiliar dismissive of all,
Aid my spirit, do not let me fall.

Come to me, how do I know you care,
I have felt betrayal, I know how to beware,
Aid this spirit. Bring forth the refreshing air.

I begin my climb towards a dull light,
Against this scarred life, I must fight,
Aid this spirit, fight with me against this endless blight.

I cannot help it, I feel my fear,
Almost as if I have lost all I hold dear,
Aid this spirit, wipe away the hindered tear.

Towards the light I climb, no more doubt, I must,
Break away from the endless pain, the twists of lust,
Aid this spirit, ash of ash, dust of dust.

    Part 3:

Raised into the light, I see your face,
Lift me away from this hell, make haste,
Heal this spirit, could you be a saving grace.

Comfort, peace, love; these I have never felt,
In the dark and cold so long, in the sun, I may melt,
Heal this spirit, before God, before you, I knelt.

A stranger, your face I do not know,
You came to aid, before I fell too low,
Heal this spirit, please be friend and not a foe.

Speak to me, allow me to be held close,
I have known no touch, thus I cannot boast,
Heal this spirit, to be with someone, I wish this the most.

Tired from the weight of hurt, I must now rest,
A possible beginning of the ultimate test,
Heal this spirit, maybe in one another we may bring about the best.

Tell me your name when I wake,
Maybe you can heal that which I forsake,
Heal this spirit, I dream that this feeling is not fake.

    Part 4:

Now I wake, my first sight is upon your eyes,
A beauty with the ability of dispelling lies,
A mended spirit creates new ties.

Awoken, I take in your whole face.
The sight of someone that I may come to embrace,
A mended spirit at the end of a long race.

I see deeper, a glance into your soul,
A person who is also not whole,
A mended spirit no longer dull.

I hear your voice, it sounds oh so very kind,
A person with a heart, I have no longer need to find,
A mended spirit no longer a broken mind.

Now I have met someone who bears a heart,
No longer at my end, it is now a start,
A mended spirit, that does not want to part.

Release this spirit, let it be true,
Aid this spirit, bring forth something new,
Heal this spirit, give it a brighter hue,
A mended spirit because of you.
