• I never thought it would be this easy, I never thought I had to try,
To convince the ones I love so fully that I don’t want to die.
Cat marks are easy they fade within days,
Night terrors are simple, we get them different ways.
I may not be going crazy, but I’ve been there once before.
I not only skipped down the trodden path, I knocked down the door.
The voices in my head are easy to shove back.
It takes a little more to convince me I’m not a quack.
Why don’t they look at me, and not that mask I wear?
No one has seen past it, and I really doubt they care.
I’ve been a liar all my life, there’s no reason to turn around.
Just let me bleed here and my stains can paint the ground.

((This was written in late February. A few weeks later things turned around. I only recently found this buried in my hard drive.))
