• Sitting in my rusty dreams I wonder why I’m lost
Silent and alone covered head to toe in frost
Memories flying by on fragile wings of gold
Wheat fields swaying gently have been touched by winds of old.
Stars a-twinkling in your eyes now are gone from sight
I stumble in the darkness that’s been lit by lack of light
Wandering alone with you, forget what once has been
Spiraling further outwards, ever inward spin.
Dreams and thoughts forgotten, left in misty air
Mysteries and memories of what was once left there
Darkness like a cloudy day descends, light as a star
Take a step towards me, dear, wander ever far.
Like water dripping through my head, tears begin to fall
Drier than a bone and dead as a brick wall
Rust and golden powder dust sifting through the sands
Clouds and sun and misty ice pouring through my hands.
The sun is glaring down at me, smiling in the dark
Light a fire in the midnight, such a pretty spark
Fires starting in thy soul, full of fiery rain
Parched wet tears fill my eyes and waterfall again.
Spiral of the stars, my dear, watch them ever dancing
Sun and moon and end of time, always close advancing
Hear the silence, taste the wind, walk to me again
Frost and sunsets full of ice, cry tears of champagne.
A daisy here, a black rose there, the garden of the skies
Wander with me now, dear, there’s confusion in your eyes
Feather quills and dancing moons, such a sight to see
Spinning ever onward, stop a time with me.
Sitting in forgotten dreams, tales of what once was
A voice fills my ears again like the windmill buzz
Magic lamps light the way through all eternity
Stay close by my side, my dear, and listen carefully.
A drop of golden sunlight falls, quiet as a horn
As the constant whispers herald coming morn
Don’t be frightened now dear, it’s all just a dream
Sunlight in your eyes, a golden azure gleam.
Misty tears cascade again your mind, your mind, your mind
Destiny and end of time ever intertwined
Walk a little closer dear, go wander far astray
End up here with golden dreams all rusted clean away.
