• Halloween, a time of pleasure
Of all things strange and unseen.
    Creatures of the night rest,
Whilst the ghosts from our past,
Slither and snake into our minds.
    Children screaming, begging for candy,
    Adults drunk, laughing, merry.
    Strangers prowling the night,
The darkness causing us all a fright.
    Monsters become shadows, slipping away,
As do our children, as they play.
Happy holidays and trick or treat,
For you never know who you'll meet.
