• Treasured Doll

I was once a treasured doll
    that everybody wanted
A foot and an inch tall
    and never daunted.

    There was a bow
    up top my head
    From which hair flow
    with a shining red

    I wore a dress
    so rich and fine
    I must confess
    that it was mine

    But time goes by
    so very quickly
    I idly cry
    but no one sees me

    My bow was lost
    and my hair got tangled
    My dress was tossed
    and my smile was mangled

    I'm coming undone
    that much I'll say
    I've had my fun
    no time left to play

    But I was myself
    a treasured doll
Now left on a beautiful shelf
    of a collection mall
