• tab Rapidly, the wind hurled towards me. I fell to the ground crushing my new pack of newports, that once had a peaceful home in my back pocket. The cold autumn air sent chills up my spine, for I am not used to this weather yet. Summer gone so fast, I leave the thoughts of my summer romance behind, for all I have left is a new world before me. These past couple of months have changed me deeply, I feel as though a new person lay inside me, waiting to be awakened.
tab Confident, I stand up and grab the backpack I had thrown when I landed on the pavement. I walk eagerly towards my bus stop, and stand there with a half a dozen kids that seem to be my age. I exchange glances with a few people I am familiar with, others not so sure of. A few boys, who seem to be friends, decide to play around with each other. One pushed in my direction, nearly knocking me off my feet, yet again. Damn freshmen.
tab Startled by the sound of the bus, I pull off one earphone from my ipod. I walk towards the opening doors of the bus. I climb the stairs and give a polite smile to the bus driver, then I sit in my usual seat towards the back. The doors close, leaving people to finding a seat, as the bus starts to move.
tab Minutes pass and I pull out my cellphone to check for the time, 7:17. Then I lay my head against the window, as I watch the cars slowly move in the traffic, I see a boy. He's walking in the direction that the bus is headed, I assume he's going to a bus stop nearby because he looks as though, he might be 16, the same age as me. The light changes, and the bus starts to pull away from the spot it was idle in for a moment. My view of him becomes unclear, but I do see him boarding the bus at the corner of Amber Place and Concord. A smile spreads across my face. I'm determined to meet him.
tab I'm hit in the head by a crumbled piece of paper. I open to see what it says. "Your hot" it read. I turn towards the front of the bus to see the same boys exchanging glances. One of them winking. I roll my eyes and continue listening to my music.
