• “Look.” Jewel pointed at the sun. Storm followed her gaze. “I don’t see anything… But at the same time, I see so much. I see the sun, shining, outstanding, on our flawlessness and denial equally. I see clouds, strolling as always. I see a sky that’s as blue as the ocean. And I’m positive it’s up there, too.”

Storm switched his look from the sky to her face, vibrating from the daylight. “So, what are you trying to say?” He didn’t know she could be this deep, especially with him.

Jewel sprung up. “I’m trying to say,” she said slowly and loudly, “that I want to be up in the sky.” Storm raised an eyebrow.

“You wanna…Fly?” He asked, not exactly sure how he felt about this. Jewel nodded her head and covered her face as Storm giggled. “That seems a little impossible, don’t you think?”

Jewel shook her finger at Storm’s face and smirked, “Not unless you dream. Not unless you dream bigger than anyone and everyone else.”

Storm was taken by surprise by her words. She said it all so nonchalantly, like it was an everyday thing. But it wasn’t. It was miraculous.
