• Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas?
The Question that has puzzled men for years.

((ATTN: THIS IS NOT IN ANY WAY DISCRIMINATING AGAINST THE DIFFERENT RELIGIONS IN AMERICA!))

Well? You going to answer the question or what?

    Fine. I will.

Before Thanksgiving; Happy Holidays, you have two coming up.

    After Thanksgiving; Merry Christmas.

    Why, you ask?

Well, even though it's politically correct to say Happy Holidays, I still believe in the first amendment to the constitution.

For those of you who are in America yet aren't aware of this the First Amendment states that :

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

In otherwords: Congress NOR ANYONE ELSE, is allowed to accuse, hinder, or create problems for anyone with a certain religion, or what they say and/or type.

    INCLUDING CHRISTIANS!

It seems we don't put so much pressure on people of different faiths, such as the Muslims or people of the Jewish faith when they express their own religion and ask laws to change for theirs. (EG: There are meat alternatives for those not allowed to eat pork in schools now, but not any alternative for Catholics during the season of lent.)

    Why is that?

I'm perfectly fine with someone telling me something other than Merry Christmas(Except Happy Holidays -_-). I also think that, as people who live in America, it is our duty to continue defending our cultures and rules. And, if it fancys that you don't like it, you can go to another country that only allows one saying.

Another thing that irks me is the shallowness some people achieve, note I say some, when they become politically correct. For instance, they just become so sappy sweet it sickens me, like inhaling mapel syrup.

It's also the fact they don't seem to have an issue with giving up their First Amendment Rights. Good Lord people! EXPRESS AN OPINION! Why not, just once, tell people what you WANT to say, instead of putting on the same mask as everyone else?

If we all wear that same mask we will all become the same, yet lose our spiritual unity. Different religion or not, Merry Christmas and God Bless you.

    ~Mary

PS: If you celebrate, please remember Christmas isn't about the gifts and candy canes, Turn the Candy Cane upside-down, because J stands for Jesus and his birth on Christmas Eve. Put the CHRIST back in CHRISTMAS.
