    Prologue
    Darkening Light in the Night

The Night Beast's paws thundered against the rocky path, following it's enemies’ scent. The Night Beast stopped, sensing his enemy in the dark cave behind him. He turned and slowly stalked inside, glancing around at the darkness stretched out in front of him; the Night Beast could see perfectly, all his senses icy. He couldn't find his enemy any longer, for he had run out of patience. "Come show yourself, coward!" The innocent beast called out. At the very wrong moment. The evil glimpse of the enemy flashed in David's- the good Night Beast- eyes and Croy- the evil Night Beast- raked his deadly claws against David's back. David flipped himself over and crushed Croy under his weight. Croy dug his fangs into David's neck deeply, blood seeping out of the wound.
"Ha, got you now!" Croy said evilly through a clump of fur in his mouth. David was staring at the ceiling with perfect vision- if only his vision was useful. Croy had killed David, and no one would avenge his death. Croy had taken the advantage to feed on David, and then ran off into the night, leaving a bloody trail behind.

    Chapter 1
    Chaos

The lab seemed like a war zone. White coats flashed everywhere in every direction. The siren boomed throughout the whole building, and crimson light shone even the darkest corners. "What the hell is happening?!" Ethan, one of the scientists, called out through the loud noise.
Raven replied, "I don't know! We just need to stay calm!" Raven's voice almost seemed louder than the siren. Her icy blue eyes panicked and she darted over to her experiment. Not good, Raven thought. Through the glass her experiment was evolving strangely: it was growing longer arms, legs, and...claws? Fangs tore through the perfect mouth, sticking out on the side of it's jaw. Suddenly fur bursted through the flawless skin and it's eyes were wide open. It's eyes glanced around, floating in the water from the large capsule.
"No!" Raven cried out in terror as her experiment went horribly wrong. "Code black, code black," her voice shouted into her walkie- talkie. Code Black meant everyone had to evacuate the building and an automatic security system would call the cops. Police, ambulance, the F.B.I. and everyone else arrived just in time at the building. Every already fled out of the building quicker than you can say, "holy crap." But Raven stayed behind, too stunned to leave her evolving experiment behind. Her experiment then suddenly bursted through the glass, leaving Raven dazed on the floor. Experiment R, Raven's experiment, was sniffing at Raven's face, still in a beast form.
"Uh...." Raven stifled a groan then opened her eyes and screeched. Just in time, the police came in, breaking down the door. One officer aimed a gun's fire hole at the experiment. Raven eventually fainted, too shocked. Then Experiment R evolved. Again. The officer than dropped his gun.
"What are you..?" He asked the experiment in disbelief as it changed from a beast to a woman in tattered clothing.
"I am the new generation," Experiment R replied back in a charming, with a tint of a British accent, voice that was sharp like razors but calm like an untouched puddle. The officers were too shocked and they all fled the building. Experiment R grinned and glanced over at her creator who fainted. She walked up to Raven and slapped her lightly and Raven opened her wide icy blue eyes.
"E-" -Raven took a minute to clear her raspy throat- "Experiment R...?" Her experiment reacted at her name.
"Yes, master?" She asked in an almost-robotic voice.
"Maybe we should give you a name..." Raven said and her experiment nodded. "Hm, what about..." Raven thought for a moment. "What about Veronica?" Experiment gir- no, Veronica's - face lit up at the name. Raven smirked happily and nodded. "Veronica it is!" Veronica hoisted Raven up on her feet unexpectedly. Raven almost tumbled backwards but gained balance quickly. "Thanks," Raven said thankfully and in response, Veronica nodded. Veronica sighed and Raven echoed it. "Well, let's get out of this building before they think you murdered me," Raven said and grinned slightly. She walked out of the building calmly, Veronica on her heels.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Suddenly the door bursted open. Ethan's heart pounded against his chest then it eventually slowed down. He clutched his chest and sighed, grateful that Raven was alive. "Rav-" He stopped to stare impolitely at the marvelous woman behind him. The woman behind Raven -Veronica- winked at him. If Ethan hadn't caught up on his breathing, he would've fainted at the beautiful face. Raven grinned and Ethan's ears felt hot.
"Ethan, I would like you to meet Veronica. She is my...experiment. Or just plainly the New Generation," Raven said and grinned her mischievous grin. Ethan knew that grin so well that almost automatically, Raven was plotting something. But what? Ethan thought desperately.
"Hi," Veronica said in a charming voice. Ethan lifted a hand and waved.
"Hello, Veronica. I'm Ethan." Ethan said, "Nice to meet you." Raven sighed and glanced at her 'invisible watch.'
"Well are you two going to just stand there or are we going to go home? I'll carpool Ethan and Veronica, the rest of you scientists carpool other people. Just imagine it like a normal day," That earned a few chuckles. Even from Veronica, and to Ethan, was the sweetest sound he ever heard. Ethan had to remember that he was only seventeen -still going to high school- and Veronica was only an experiment. Both of them -Ethan, and Veronica- went into Raven's car.
"Put on your seatbelt, Veronica." Raven called to her from the front seat. Veronica struggled for one solid minute then finally put on her seatbelt.

Veronica smiled clumsily and said, "M'kay ready!" Raven took off and drove away into the darkening night, guided by only car lights and signs. Ethan stared out at the window, watching the forest whip past the car. Ethan broke the silenced car.
"So…uh...Raven…. Where do you think Veronica is going? She can't just stay in your home. I've been there before and it's kind of, um, small…." Ethan then quickly added when Raven opened her mouth to speak. "No offense though." They both chuckled humorlessly.
"Well, I was planning to leave her with me. I could make room with her in my cramped house," Raven said and Veronica's eyes lit up. Ethan could see Veronica's eyes light up from the side view mirrors of the car. He yawned tiredly.
"So then after that, when will you send her to high school?" Ethan asked, arching an eyebrow sharply.
Raven said, "I was planning to let her go to Greenfield Community High School, idiot." She joked. "I always have a plan for something...Just in case something gets in the way…." That silenced Ethan and Veronica, knowing they shouldn't mess with Raven- or something bad or good could happen. Ethan didn't know.

    Chapter 2
    Flame of Hope

Hope strutted down the populated hallway of Greenfield Community High School. She was funny, goofy, and crazy like that -in a good way. Hope was an ordinary girl with an average height and grade. She was kind of popular, but in the middle, with blonde hair and gorgeous green eyes. Suddenly Hope came into a halt, bumping into someone.
"Hey, Hope! Wazzup?" Hope knew that voice so well. It was Stark. Her best buddy in the world. Of course, Stark was a guy, but he wasn't perverted or anything. Hope had known Stark since they both met in first grade. They met while fighting over the last chocolate chip cookie, and it just crumbled to pieces after they tore it apart fighting and tackling each other. And now they were both in high school. Hope grinned and spun around to face Stark.
"Hey my home skillet biscuit!" Hope replied back and they both did their goofy secret handshake.
Stark asked Hope something while they were walking to their lockers,-since each others lockers were near each other- "So, are you failing? You never do your homework."
Hope answered, "No, I just copy it in the morning. The homework's so damn easy it's like we're back in first grade." They both laughed but Stark's laugh ringed out loudly. He cleared his throat, clearly embarrassed. They both walked to their lockers in silence. Stark left his locker a little earlier than usual; but Hope was fine with that. She whistled as she walked down the hallway calmly, in no hurry to class even though the bell already rang and the doors of classrooms were closed. Suddenly a loud bang echoed the hallway, the sound bouncing back and forth the walls, ringing in Hope's ears. What the hell.... Hope thought and followed where the noise was. The bang echoed again and suddenly Hope was clinging to a red locker. Soon, Hope heard voices in the distance; not too far away from her.
"Listen, Maria. Nobody EVER says no to me, and you WILL go to the dance with me!" It was Tony, the school's biggest bully. He was, obviously, talking to Maria. He shoved her against a locker and Hope figured out the rest. Maria probably tried to escape but failed because Tony shoved her back on the locker.
"I don't need you to tell me whose boss of me, fool." Maria spat in his face. Hope peered over at the corner of the locker and shrank away just in time before Tony caught her. Hope looked around and saw the janitor's closet open. With a janitor uniform in there...With a fake mustache? Hope grinned her mischievous grin.
"Oh, this is gonna be good." Hope murmured to herself. Her green eyes lit up so brightly that they seemed like emerald. She was going to plan something. Something funny. A prank.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Stark sat in his seat in class boredly. He glanced around, looking for something to do. Stark didn't like math. Sadly, he had it for first period. Wonder what I could do in this torture place.... Stark thought. "Hey," a nerd near him whispered.
"What'd you want?" Stark replied back in a loud voice.
"Silence!" His math teacher scowled at him and he sat lower in his seat. The nerd snickered and snorted. Stark had to hold his fist to keep himself from punching the nerd. After for what seemed like an hour-which was only ten minutes- Stark started to go insane. Literally. He glanced around, chewing on his gum the whole time in class and the teacher never noticed. Stark took out the damp gum from his mouth and stuck it on a guy's huge head in front of him. He bursted into laughter, only to get attention from everyone in the classroom to him. He stopped and cleared his throat.
"Uh yeah sorry that was disrespectful." Everyone chuckled, but that only lasted for a few seconds before the cold gaze of Mrs. Walker -the math teacher- swept the room back into order. Stark knew this was his last and final warning. He was grateful when there was a quick announcement, only to kill time while he waited for his torturing period to end, very slowly.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Hope slinked out of the girls’ bathroom. She was wearing a janitor's uniform with a cap on, her hair rolled up inside the cap so that she looked like a man. Hope, of course, was wearing a fake mustache. Tony's voice and Maria's voice still mingled in the air and Hope could hear a few more lockers being abused by Tony, as he shoved Maria back on a locker, trying to escape but she failed miserably. Hope snickered at her own little 'costume' in the bathroom. She grabbed a janitor's broom and started sweeping toward Tony and Maria. Tony was bewildered when he saw the janitor, frightened that he might be caught.
"Hey 'der! Whatcha doin' to 'dis lil' ol' lady?" Hope said in her best old man's voice, but her voice betrayed her. Tony let go of Maria's shoulders and stared at Hope. Maria scrambled away to her class and casted a grateful glance at Hope.
"Hope?" Tony asked in disbelief. Hope grinned and replied in her regular voice.
"Got that right, Tony! And you just got SERVED!" Tony's face flushed red with anger and he lunged toward Hope. But Hope was quicker. She went into the janitor's closet and thankfully, the keys were inside that could lock and unlock the door. Tony slammed the janitor's door shut, unknowing that Hope had the keys. She could hear faint footsteps running away to his class. Hope squirmed and managed to get back in her clothes again. She put away everything that was the janitor’s back where it belonged.
"Score!" Hope said merrily to herself and walked out of the closet. Hope Radcliff had done it again. Saving people from bullies was her job ever since seventh grade.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Stark fell asleep for five minutes in Mrs. Walker’s math class. Thankfully, he copied the answers from a nerdy-looking guy next to his seat. The bell finally rang and it echoed and boomed throughout the whole building, like a happy ice-cream truck bell. Stark hoisted up his books and he walked out to his second period: Science. He was okay at science, and he loved messing around with other chemical stuff. He forgot to tell the kid who he stuck gum in his hair that he had it there.
Stark shrugged. "Oh well, don't wanna be late for class," He mumbled to himself. Hope suddenly bursted into second period, for her and Stark were lab partners and she probably didn't want to be late. For both of them, science passed by like a breeze, and after science came lunch. They fled the science classroom and went to their lockers to get their lunch, said to each other to see them after lunch-if they could- or school. Hope's homeroom teacher wouldn't let the class go outside to rest and relax before the periods were and Stark just sat their on the grass alone. The rest of the day seemed like a breeze. After school, when Stark receives a terrifying phone call that could leave him sad, lonely, and in pain. Forever.

    Chapter 3
    First Kill

Veronica was chewing hungrily down on the pieces of human meat. She was in Night Beast form, Raven and Ethan came up with the name for her beast form. She had caught her first prey that would eventually leave to more killings. Who was the prey she hunted down? Stark's mother. Veronica knew it was wrong...But she was just so hungry and if Stark's mother never accidently cut herself with the kitchen knife...Veronica stopped thinking and just continued devouring every piece of meat hungrily before guilt teared her apart. After Veronica finished, she shifted. Back to her human form. She walked into what Raven told her was the 'bathroom' and washed her hands in a 'sink' with 'soap,' and dried her hands with a 'towel.' Veronica thought she was useless. It would take her 'years' and 'days' and maybe even 'months' for her to figure out so many words. Wait a 'second', if I am the New Generation, shouldn't I be up to date? Veronica thought. Her crimson eyes widened and she ran over to Raven's 'bedroom.' "Raven?" Veronica asked Raven for her attention.
    "Yes, Veronica?" Raven replied back.
"Um..." Veronica's crimson eyes darted back and forth and she finally spoke. "If I am the New Generation, shouldn't I be....Up-to-date?" Raven suddenly realized she'd done something wrong and her icy blue eyes panicked but then calmed. Raven hoisted herself up to her feet and went to the 'lab room,' a room in the small house that took up half of the entire house. Veronica followed and watched Raven touch 'buttons' and 'handles.'
"Okay, Veronica. Just step into the large capsule." Raven said slowly and pointed to a 'capsule.'
"Capsule..." Veronica repeated slowly and she stepped in. Suddenly a shock so strong went through her body and she was soon floating in water, unconscious. The only thing Veronica heard before she slipped away was, "Hang on, Veronica."
    ♦ ♦ ♦
Hope ran what seemed like quicker than the speed of light to Stark's house. The door was open since Stark lived on a safe neighborhood and Hope bursted though the door to find Stark sitting on his couch with blank eyes. His cheeks were dotted with dry tears and Hope sat on the couch opposite of him. "Uh I got the news...." Stark nodded.

"I have to go to a...." He shuddered at the word he was about to use.
"Funeral." Hope nodded. She wish there was something she could do but...Suddenly Stark spoke up.
"I'm sorry I'm putting this down on your shoulders, Hope, but you know how she died? There were claw marks everyone on her body and it seemed like her organs and stuff were taken out. Like all the human meat there was sucked away." Hope shuddered, picturing the too-perfect image in her head.
"Wow Sta-" Hope was interrupted when Stark hit a glass vase and it knocked down on the hard-wood floor with a loud ear-splitting noise. She stayed silent and so did Stark, letting fresh tears drip down his face like dew drops dripping down a leaf. "I think I'll go now..." Hope said about thirty minutes later, Stark still crying. He didn't say another word and Hope just sprinted out the door and trotted back to her house in a flash. It was ten o'clock and her mother definitely would not be happy.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Raven had invited Ethan over to her house to watch television while Veronica took a stroll out at night. Ethan was worried, as Raven could tell, but she pretended nothing was wrong and acted normally to trick Ethan- and it worked. He hadn't noticed how clenched her jaw was. Or how tensed her muscles were. Or even how she bit her nails. Little things poor Ethan didn't noticed that really stood out. Raven had done the best she could as she updated Veronica up-to-date.
"So....uh..." Ethan and even herself, had ran out of things to say. The television went back to a commercial. They were watching Spongebob Squarepants. They both enjoyed it until it was past nine o'clock at night then Ethan left. Raven waved goodbye and went to sleep.

    Chapter 4

Marley, and some girl next to him called Jessica, were the newest people to enter Greenfield Community High School. Marley's mother died the night before his first day, and his father said it was an omen; but Marley didn't believe in omens. It was strange how Marley's mother had died: claw marks across her whole body, maybe half of her organs teared out, and all her human meat were gone. He shuddered as he walked to his locker at the clear image of finding his mom laying on the kitchen floor. Dead. Gone. Marley shook the memory away and Jessica departed into a different direction, following the school's map. Marley sighed and did his combination, took the books that were strangely already in his locker and went to first period, which was science, boredly.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Jessica walked down to Mrs. Bennett's classroom-the science teacher- she had for first period. She walked up to Mrs. Bennett, giving her a note that said she was new and blah blah, the regular stuff. Jessica had tanned skin and was shorter than most people with straight and short black hair and dark brown eyes. Even though Jessica was small, she could jump really high and joined the Track & Field team almost immediately when she entered Greenfield Community High School. She figured out that her lab partner was Marley, the other new kid in school. He was quiet, so she was too. It went by like an easy math problem such as two plus two equaling four. Jessica picked up her books and put them away in her bag and dragged herself to second period, social studies with the funniest and awesomest teach she'd ever known: Mr. Miller.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Veronica walked into Greenfield Community High School. She knew she was late, but she needed to finish her "feast." Hope walked into Veronica's perfect vision and she called out. "Uh hey wait up!" Veronica said and Hope paused and smiled.
"You must be Veronica. Oh and I know this because I've already met Marley and Jessica, the other two new people in this school." Veronica nodded, her books for her periods in her hands. Hope studied Veronica's flawless face a while then dropped her gaze to her books and grinned slightly and looked at her face.
"Hey, you got the same classes as me." Hope said, and showed her coverless books to Veronica.
"Well uh what's your name?" Veronica's voice was as cheery and bright as Hope's.
"I'm Hope and I already know you." They both chuckled and walked to their classes. Finally they got there and they sat in seats next to each other, talking the whole period. Veronica let Hope explain about her friends, her past, and other stuff. Veronica kept her mouth closed because even she herself knew she was an experiment, therefore she held no past.
"So, what about you V-" Hope was cut off as Veronica put an iron hand over her mouth, she was obviously annoyed with Hope. Hope yelled out in protest and Veronica felt something warm and liquidy in her hand, and with Veronica's sharp nose, she knew what it was, blood. She quickly pulled her hand away to see that she has loosened a tooth in Hope's mouth. The teacher spun around and Veronica sat on her bloody hand. Ms. Hess, the social studies teacher, gasped and shooed Hope out of the room and to the nurse. Veronica was shocked and the bell rang. Time to switch periods.
Veronica hoisted her and Hope's books easily with inhuman strength, and quickly fled to the next period, knowing Hope and her had the same periods. A trail of eyes followed Veronica's swiftly moving body out the door.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Ethan grabbed his books from off the chair and left the classroom, always to be the last one out. He yawned and stretched by the classroom door, taking his time, but then his teacher shooed him out of the room and Ethan left. He saw Stark walk down the busy hallway.
"Hey Stark," Ethan called out to his friend but Stark didn't answer, just brushed past Ethan. Poor guy. His mother is dead and father divorced. I wonder where his father is. Oh yeah. Japan. On the other side of the world...With no communication to contact Stark, Ethan thought pitifully. He wished he could do something to cheer up Stark...Maybe... His thoughts were interrupted as Veronica crashed into him with an iron body.
Ethan felt the air get sucked out of him but kept on walking to his period. What the heck... He thought curiously, re-playing in his head the collision; and it never seemed that Veronica had thrown the best punch at him, just merely bumped into him. He was bewildered and the teacher called on him for an answer. Ethan wasn't paying attention, so he got the answer wrong. The teacher scowled at him and lectured the class about how they should pay attention. At least it killed some time. The last thing he needed on his mind was stress. He had enough of it already. Ethan sat back on his chair and just waited until the day went by in fast motion.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Hope was a bit down at science. Stark had chosen a different lab partner, -and nobody wanted Hope as one- so she was alone. She left her mind wander off, re-playing the incident in her head as Veronica put a rock-hard hand on her mouth and crushed her jaw slightly, and loosen a tooth but it only felt like it, Veronica just crushed her jaw slightly. Her muscles in her jaw ached at the strength, but Hope wanted Veronica as a friend. For now probably. Hope always was a floater.
A floater would be a person who really doesn't fit in with the popular group, or nerdy, or athletic. She had friends everywhere but really couldn't tell them what was happening like drama or stuff in her life. Her only real friend was Stark, maybe Veronica, and the new girl and new guy- Jessica and Marley. Hope's green eyes darted across the room, looking for someone she trusted almost like Stark, but found no one. She sighed and other people echoed it but only with a yawn. She found out that without a lab partner, she did stuff much faster so she finished Science and the rest of the day like a breeze, or as easy as snapping her fingers.

    Chapter 5
    Misery

One cold day in November, Katie Anne Hunter died. Jessica and Katie were best friends for the two months Jessica has been here. That all changed when Kate died.
"Aw, Jess, It's okay. I'll be you friend," Hope Radcliff patted Jessica on the shoulder. Jessica wanted to be alone. To be curled up in a ball in her bed and cry. Strange how Kate died. Jessica thought, seeing the first dead body in her life. Claw marks stretched across all over her body, all her blood and human meat drained. She heard about Stark's mother, but never went to her funeral. Jessica didn't ever go to funerals. Not her families. Not even friends. She was just too scared to see a loved one dead. Her thoughts were interrupted as a wave of hot tears flowed out of her eyes. Jessica's eyes were stinging, and she almost thought her dark brown eyes were black pools of saddening ink.
"Jessie?" Hope kept bugging her, and Jessica had the urge to punch her, but ignored the feeling.
"Just...Just leave me alone, Hope!" Jessica said and shoved Hope away from her. In the distance as Jessica was running home, she could swore she could hear Katie and her laughing.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Hope stared, bewildered as Jessica shoved her away and ran off to her house. I was...just trying to...comfort her.... Hope thought innocently. She always had the habit of hovering around people. The people who just lose their friend to some kind of freak accident and they die. Hope felt bad for them, but maybe Hope should just leave Jessica alone for some days...
"S' okay, Hope, Jesse just needs some 'alone' time. Get what I mean?" Ethan said, and Hope spun around to see his light bronze hair and pale face against the foggy day and sky.
"Uh yeah...I didn't mean to get her upset though, do you think she's gonna be okay?" Hope asked, concerned, biting her lip. Ethan nodded and walked away. Hope at first was puzzled when he left, but then she heard Raven's voice. Raven, to Hope, was a bit strange. She was always secretive, mysterious, and Raven was...well, weird. Hope knew Raven worked for the freak scientists in the woods or forest far away, like a twenty minute drive. A bunch of freak accidents are happening...Are they leading to Raven? Or what about Ethan? Or...both? Hope narrowed her eyes and glanced at the 'couple.' It was obvious they were a couple. Suddenly, the world was spinning... Everything and everyone seemed confused or confusing. Maybe because of Stark's mother and Katie's death, but they sound so similar. Had they both committed the same suicide? Or was it just a mere coincidence? Nothing seemed to fit in the facts. Same deaths. Different people. Hope touched her jaw, feeling for nail marks. She didn't feel anything. Maybe... Hope thought and ran like the wind to her house. This, was serious evidence.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Veronica ran. She did what Raven told her to do: Run like hell. Veronica knew she did something wrong.
"We need to get Veronica out of here..." Raven murmured the last words to Ethan before turning to Veronica. "Veronica," Raven said in a low voice. "Run through the woods. I'm not saying run like skip or prance. I'm saying for you to run like hell.” Veronica obeyed. Now she was here, - running in Night Beast form - her paws thundering on the ground, the leaves on trees vibrating above. What did Veronica do? Did she kill someone? Well, she killed Stark's mother and Kate. But, in Night Beast form, not in human form. Was it a sin, just because she needed meat? Did Raven want Veronica to go away forever? Or did Raven want Veronica away from the large group of people at Katie's funeral to keep them safe? She could still smell and literally almost taste their blood... Warm, thick and thin blood and meat sliding down Veronica's throat…
Even if Veronica thought about it, it made her tongue loll out to the side of her jaw and made her mouth water. Her nose twitched; Animals weren't as good as human meat. She tried them before and almost threw up half of the pieces she ate. Raven just stood their, laughing in amusement. Veronica let Raven laugh because she barely did. Raven was quiet and bashful inside, but outside she was like an animal. Always yelling or being odd like an exotic bird. Veronica didn't quite understand her creator yet, but anyway, she had one task to focus on and she did well.
    ♦ ♦ ♦

Jessica was venting to her online buddies on Freewebs, a place where you could create websites and role-play and chat, but this web site was a real life chat, to talk about stuff happening in their life. People thought it was like a depression site, but Jessica ignored the fact since she just left her name 'anonymous.'
"It was like, so totally bogus that day.." Someone called Hippy three underscore five (Hippy3_5) commented. Jessica laughed, thinking it was funny, then bursted into tears, remembering Kate.
"Hey, I gtg, text u later!" Jessica typed in and shut down the computer. She curled in a tight, warm, ball on top of her head and cried and screamed into a pillow. She couldn't take it anymore. She had already moved about thirty times and lost many friends. Her family finally stayed here because they could afford the house and they got a good job. Kate was her true and best friend, all until some freak accident happened. Jessica never had any friends. Never. She rarely got any because…well, she was quiet and could be funny, but she was a floater. Hope and Jessica were both floaters, but Hope was kind of popular. Not Jessica. She may be known for doing funny stuff, but Hope was the real deal. The Master Prankster. The funniest person in school probably, while barely anyone knew Jessica in the cold, cruel, and violent world...
