• The dense forest seems to go on forever. We come to a clearing. My arm feels as if its going to fall off. I take deep breaths. The pain reels back in. I almost let out a scream. But I can't they'll find us. I twitch at the pain. Blood starts to seep out. Jacob looks at me as if to say " Do u need a doctor?" I shake my head. Even though I know I may die of blood loss. We ride to the mountain about 15 miles away. My breath is unsteady as i tear a piece of cloth from my shirt. I wrap it around my shoulder to stop the bleeding. A jolt of pain shoots through me. We cross a lake. My horse starts to whine. I shush him and he stops. He runs across the lake. When I'm on the other side we continue to the mountain. The mountains trail is ridged and my horse slips a few times. When we get to the top we reach a cave. The cave is damp and cool, but not cold. I pass out right away.
When I wake up a fire is going. The warmth is so inviting. The fire seems to whip towards the opening. A pot of stew is warming over the fire in a large pot. I pick up a bowl and scoop large amounts into the bowl. I eat it quickly and take more. Elizabeth comes in and looks at me. She smiles.
    "Hungry are you?" She laughs
"Well for being locked up for about 3 months with paste i would think so."
"Well I didn't have a lot to bring" She picked up some crackers and handed them to me. I nudged them away.
Her yorki comes up to me happily barking. I smile and pet her lovingly.
"I had to bring my little pup Roxxi" she says
" I'm glad you did, I really missed her" I say half dazed.
" Be better get going soon" she says
I nod. Minutes later we are on our horses Roxxi in a saddle pouch on Elizabeth horse.
We ride into the newly risen sun.
