Nicknamed the Ghost Princess Perona, Perona is a girl dressed in the style of Gothic Lolita and a commander in the army of Gecko Moria. She is also the commander of Perona Wonder Garden, where an army of animal zombies live and protect her. She loots the Thousand Sunny with some zombies and later takes on guard duty while Absalom is attempting to marry Nami. She cannot stand anything that she feels is not cute, such as insects preferably cockroaches. Perona's dream is to have her own country made up of cute zombie animals with her as their leader. Like many other characters in One Piece, Perona has a unique laugh, which is horohorohoro witch also means hollow.<br />

Perona has eaten the Horo Horo no Mi which allows her to create several ghostly apparitions known as hollows. The ghosts can pass through someone to cause them to go into a sort of induced depression. Other versions of these ghosts can be used as extremely powerful bombs and vary in size. Aside from being able to create ghosts, Perona herself is also able to use ghostly powers such as flight, intangibility, and size manipulation, however, in order to do so Perona must leave her physical body. <br />

With the use of her Devil Fruit Horo Horo no Mi *hollow hollow fruit*, Perona is able to conjure up ghosts and form a "ghost network" using them. She either conjures up one ghost or splits herself into many ghosts, able to reform whenever she pleases. Once formed, the ghosts are able to split up into even more ghosts. When a ghost passes through a person they are drained of all their will to live leaving them slumped on the ground regretting even being born, rendering them an easy target.<br />

Despite her powers she so far seems to lack any alternative approaches to fight with. an additional ability that Perona has is the ability to create exploding ghosts that can make holes in stone walls, and a giant ghost that is even more powerful (although its destructive capabilities are not shown). As well, she can create an astral projection of herself, which can't be hurt through any means. She can pass through solid objects in this form, although she can't damage them, and she can change in size. However, while she is doing this, her true body remains unconscious and vulnerable. To negate this, she usually hides before resorting to astral projection. <br />

She was recently awoken by her servants. When she realized that Oz was going on a rampage to destroy the Strawhats, she immediately decided to escape the island on the Thousand Sunny and ordered her animals to get some treasure and food. However her escape plan is interrupted with the sudden arrival of Bartholomew Kuma of the Shichibukai on the ship, asking for Moria. When Perona responded that she was no longer Moria's underling and that she was about to leave the island, Bartholomew responded by asking her where she would go on a vacation. After some initial confusion Perona replied that she would want to go to a "humid, ancient castle, full of creepiness" (a perfect description of Thriller Bark), but seems angry at him for 'distracting and humiliating' her. When she attempts to fight back against him, Bartholomew makes her disappear by touching Perona with his bare hand. Her current status is unknown. <br />
