as a muffled knell echoes midnight
Broken ground
Excavated earth
Gaping hole
The stench of Death
Proof beyond belief
Sibilated shuffling sounds…
Sweat belying a cold beyond reason
A miasmic apparition appears
Arms outstretched
Groping, boned hands
Wormy carcass shuffles forward
I smell the maggoty breath
