No expression for them to see.
What a dreary way of living,
Will you stay here with me?
Not a lot pass through here,
When they do they run.
It can be awfully lonely;
I hardly even see the sun.
This is my home for what it's worth
It's quiet and dark and damp.
Now I know you're going to leave soon
That's the way of the swamp.

- It has to be said: Damp and Swamp do not even come close to rhyming... Other than that, yeah, the avatar fits the poem... The bird? Not so much, yet the concept your is understandable.
