The National Guard date back all the way to the 1700s. When the colonies were invaded, the urge for an volunteer army was needed. There the birth of a civilian army,( The National Guard), most of these men had little to no military experience at all.Many were farmers, blacksmiths, peasants, but all answered their countries call.
Today we thank them,and remmber them as heros. The Nations civlion protectors, the national guard.
