Her life changed when her mother, Caroline, had died of cancer. This took them by surprise since her mother had never told her father or her daughter. Before she left, Caroline had given Amethyst a natural Amethyst pendant, she not knowing that it was a goodbye present. Amethyst has never taken it off since. She is now 27, the event happened 17 years ago.
