Instructed by his Commander Hannya defends the first hallway to the Edo Castle as Kenshin and crew attempt to fight to take back Megumi Takani from the clutches of the Oniwaban Group. Armed with a gaunlets, under his gloves (Later to be revealed as hidden blades), a strange myst from his neck, and a spell to make his arms stretch he makes a worthy opponent for Kenshin to battle.

I remember this!
His arms were insane. They
didn't stretch, the scene explained (Kenshin
realized) that it was the stripes on his arms that
made it seem as if his arms were longer than they
were. you couldn't estimate how long they were
because it was an optical illusion.
