There's a mystery beyond eagerness
An eagerness, no... yearning rather;
'Tis an expression of bleakness.
It ought to have been a coincidence
To have seen this ravenous one
On autumn's first morning.
A coincidence to conclude
A summer's worth
Of light and spark.

Fear not the Crow that
Lurks night or day,
There is a pink speck
In every ebony
Just as there is
A silver lining
In every cloud.
