There is much to be said to the leader of Man, who this centaur has been sent to visit, bedecked in the face paints of a messenger. These hard, black, unnatural roads that have begun to wind, like choking vines, through the once silent wood, are only the beginning-- the stars and elders have shown far stranger and more alien things are to come than these flat, black snakes that must devour trees in order to be laid out.

- The centaur shifts the heavy bow and quiver from one shoulder to the other; hopefully, the weapon will not be needed. But it has been more than a few ages since Centaurs and Men last met, and they may have forgotten. Best to be careful. Best to remember caution near those whose weakest weapons still threaten life itself.

This centaur has never seen a Man before-- they are without horns, it is told, and walk on two legs. They have feet like hands. They are slow runners, and poor shots, but their ingenuity and willpower is impressive. So, too, is their stubbornness and lack of wisdom into the turnings of Fate. That is why this centaur must journey to them; all could soon be lost, if a renewed friendship and understanding cannot be gained.
