- Description: Kikyō was the shrine maiden who bound Inuyasha with a magical arrow 50 years prior to the events of the series. Deceived by the half-demon Naraku, Kikyō sacrificed her own life to keep the Jewel from returning to the realm of the living, but the Jewel was revived by demon magic in the form of her modern-day reincarnation Kagome Higurashi. When she died, her spirit was carried towards the twinkling stars by her soul collectors. [Note: Ref images aren't working]
